Josh Sims

My story begins in the year 2009. In the Winter of 2009, I departed on my first mission trip to Mexico, where my team helped build a house for a family in need. One of many great memories from that trip was meeting the family after building the house and seeing how thankful they were. It was at that point where I could see myself doing missions in the future! There is no better feeling than helping others and also serving God at the same time! God spoke to me on that trip and let me know that missions will be a part of my future! Fast forward to 2017, where I finally picked up the call to missions and attended the DTS (Discipleship Training School) at YWAM Townsville (Youth With a Mission). It was at this school where my relationship with God was strengthened, and my call to missions was confirmed! The Lord has always put the people and culture of Central and South America on my heart, and the Lord is now leading me to YWAM Mazatlan, where I attended the WISE (Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare, and Evangelism). That school was incredible for my growth in Jesus and finding my authority in Him! I went to outreach in Mexico, and I was able to bless and pray over leaders of ministries, churches, and communities! I am now back in Mazatlan, Mexico and serving on staff here! I staffed a DTS in January to May, where I co-lead a team in South Mexico and we helped impact churches and orphanages with prayer and practical help!
